Everything you need to put an AI shopping assistant on your shop, from your first catalog upload to the JavaScript and REST APIs.
Quickstart (10 minutes)
- Create an account and a shop at askmerra.com/signup. Enter your website domain. The widget will only work there.
- Add your catalog in Catalog: upload a CSV/JSON/XML export, add a feed URL that re-syncs automatically, or push products with the Push API. AskMerra maps the columns for you; check the mapping and import.
- Wait for enrichment. Every product is analysed (use cases, skin/hair types, key ingredients, specs) and embedded for semantic search. A few hundred products take a few minutes; the Catalog page shows progress.
- Add your policies in Knowledge: shipping, returns, payments, brand story and FAQ entries.
- Test in the Playground. Ask what your customers ask. The debug panel shows which products were retrieved, which route answered and what it cost.
- Install the widget. Paste the snippet from Install before

| Shop | One storefront with its own catalog, knowledge base, widget settings, team and billing. An account can own several shops. |

| Site key | pk_live_…: public, goes into the widget snippet. Only works on your allowed domains. |
| Secret key | sk_live_…: server-to-server key for the Push API. Shown once; never put it in a web page. |
| Conversation | One visitor talking to the assistant for up to 24 hours (an analytics unit; billing is based on AI usage). |
| Usage | The AI work done for your shop (answers, product enrichment, search indexing), metered in euros. Your plan includes some; above it you pay as you go. |
| Enrichment | AI-extracted product facts (use cases, attributes, safety notes) that make search and recommendations accurate. Re-run automatically when content changes. |
| Protection mode | Automatic state when abnormal traffic or spend is detected: free answers keep working, AI answers pause, you get an email. |
